| Product Detail | In the cytoplasm, it catalyzes the conversion of glucose-6-phosphate to fructose-6-phosphate, which is the second step of glycolysis and the reverse reaction in the process of gluconeogenesis. In addition to being a glycolytic enzyme, it also acts as a secreted cell factor: as an angiogenic factor (AMF), it stimulates the movement of endothelial cells. As a neurotrophic factor, neuroyukin, it is used for spinal cord and sensory neurons. It is secreted by lectin-stimulated T cells and induces immunoglobulin secretion. |
