Interleukin-2, or interleukin-2, is also known as T cell growth factor (TCRF). A wide range of bioactive cytokines produced primarily by activated CD4+T cells and CD8+T cells. It is a growth factor of all T cell subsets, which can make T cells survive in vitro for a long time and promote the proliferation of activated B cells. Therefore, it is an important factor regulating immune response and also involved in antibody response, hematopoietic and tumor surveillance.

This product is made from prokaryotic expression system (E.coli) containing high expression of human IL-2 gene after fermentation, isolation and high purification, and then lyophilized. The polypeptide chain was composed of 134 amino acid residues with a molecular weight of 15.5kDa.

This product is a sterile lyophilized powder, made from a protein solution containing 10mM phosphate with a pH of 7.2 filtered by 0.2μm.

Biological activity: IL-2 is a cytokine with various biological activities. Modern immunological studies have shown that IL-2 is an essential factor for the long-term growth of T cells in vitro, as well as a TC cell maturation factor. It can promote the proliferation and differentiation of activated T cells into effective TD cells and TC cells, and induce the increase of IL-2R expression on T cell surface. It can also stimulate the secretion of other cytokines (TNF, IFNR). Therefore, IL-2 plays the most important role in the activation, proliferation and transformation of T cells, which is realized through its receptor on the cell surface (IL-2R). In addition to T cells, IL-2 also has an up-regulation effect on the function of B cells, NK cells and macrophages. Th1 cells activated by B cells can produce a variety of pro-inflammatory cytokines (including IL-2, IL-12, TNF, and IFN-γ). There are IL-2rβ-γ chains on the surface of NK cells. IL-2 stimulates the activation and proliferation of NK cells, and induces the secretion of IL-2, IFN-γ and other factors.

Instructions for use: It is recommended to dissolve lyophilized rhIL-2 in water for injection or sterilized ultra-pure water with a concentration of not less than 100μg/ml, and then further dilute to working concentration. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw as much as possible.

Redissolved cytokines: stable storage at 4℃ for 7-10 days; For short-term storage, please store at -20℃ after repackaging.
