       The purpose of fixation is to preserve the original morphology and structure of cells and tissues. Fixatives can prevent the autolysis of endogenous lysosomal enzymes on their own tissues and cells, and inhibit the growth of bacteria and molds. Fixatives inactivate endogenous lysosomal enzymes by altering the internal structure of proteins through coagulation, generation of additive compounds, and so on.
       Neutral formalin calcium fixative (10%) introduces a buffer component on the basis of formalin calcium fixative (10%), the reagent pH 7.2-7.4 is conducive to better maintenance of tissue morphology, suitable for fixation of the majority of tissues, protects antigens and enzyme activity, and has good fixation and preservation effects especially on adipose tissue.
