Red Probe for Mitochodrion is a tetraphenyl ethylene derivative developed based on the principle of aggregation-induced emission (AIE)，exhibiting typical AIE characteristics. This product can penetrate cell membrane. Simply incubate it with cells，it can be passively transported through membrane. This product is an ionic compound featuring a positively charged pyridine salt structure and of excellent AIE property，it can specifically label mitochondrion in various cells. The fluorescence intensity undergoes significant change before and after binding with mitochodrions. The unbound fluorescent probes basically do not emit fluorescence signals. Therefore，this product can be imaged directly after incubating with cells and washing. Different with normal dyes，this product can be excited by various exciting wavelength including 488nm，543nm，etc.，and exhibits a large Stokes shift，it can be clearly distinguished from other dyes，reducing the possibility of color bleeding in imaging. In addition，it is of high biocompatibility and imaging concentration，ensuring stable fluorescence signals output after multiple scans，very suitable for multiple imaging.
