Toluidine Blue (O) is a kind of commonly used synthetic dye, which belongs to quinone imine dyes. It is a basic dye. The cations in toluidine blue can stain. The presence of metachromatic substances such as heparin and histamine in the cytoplasm of mast cells can appear metachromatic purple when encountering toluidine blue, which can be used for the initial screening of condyloma acuminatum and the detection of mast cells.
This product is suitable for mast cells staining in tissue sections. The cytoplasm of mast cells is purplish red, and the nucleus is blue.
