Product Introduction:
Hematoxylin is one of the most commonly dyes in histochemistry and immunohistochemistry, and can be widely used to stain the nuclei of tissue sections or cultured cells. Van Gieson (VG) staining is the first traditional method to distinguish collagen fibers from muscle fibers. Based on the principle that acid fuchsin and picric acid have strong affinity for the two fibers, they are double stained. After staining, the collagen fibers are bright red, while the muscle fibers, glial cell cytoplasm and red blood cells are yellow. Weigert's hematoxylin staining solution is mainly used in the technique that requires acid treatment after nuclear staining, and it could be used in combination with VG staining.
