Details
DAPI(4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole dihydrochloride) is a fluorescent dye that can bind most of the A and T bases in DNA and is often used for fluorescence microscopy. Because DAPI can penetrate intact cell membranes, it can be used for staining of both live and fixed cells. When DAPI is bound to double-stranded DNA, the maximum absorption wavelength is 358nm and the maximum emission wavelength is 461nm. The emission light of DAPI is blue, and the emission wavelength of DAPI and green fluorescent protein GFP or Texas Red dye (red fluorescent dye) only partially overlaps, which can be used for multiple fluorescent staining on a single sample.
This product is an aqueous solution of DAPI with a purity ≥90% and a concentration of 1mg/ml. When used, the product is directly diluted to the working concentration with the corresponding solution according to the experiment.
