Details
This series of products is designed for the identification of animal-derived components based on the sequence differences of the cytochrome oxidase subunit b (cytb) gene in mitochondrial DNA among different species.
Product Introduction
This kit utilizes a pair of specific primers for duck mitochondrial DNA, along with a specific fluorescent probe. It employs components such as thermostable DNA polymerase (Taq enzyme) and four deoxynucleotide triphosphates (dNTPs), leveraging PCR technology to amplify the conserved genes of duck mitochondrial DNA. Additionally, it detects mitochondrial DNA in samples through an external standard method.
The detection limit for DNA is 0.001 ng/μl.
This kit does not produce non-specific amplification when tested on specimens from cattle, pigs, sheep, horses, donkeys, chickens, geese, and rabbits.
Reagents and Materials to be Prepared by the User
Preparation Before Use
Process the samples strictly according to the enclosed operation manual provided with the kit.
Retrieve the PCR master mix and Taq enzyme from the kit. Allow them to thaw at room temperature, mix well by vortexing, and perform a brief centrifugation to bring the reagents down to the bottom of the tubes.
