Details
This series of products is used for the identification of animal-derived ingredients based on the sequence differences among species in the cytochrome oxidase subunit b (cytb) gene of mitochondrial DNA.
Product Introduction
This kit utilizes a pair of specific primers targeting chicken mitochondrial DNA and a specific fluorescent probe to achieve amplification of conserved genes in chicken mitochondrial DNA through PCR technology. Components such as thermostable DNA polymerase (Taq enzyme) and four deoxynucleotide triphosphates (dNTPs) are included in the formulation. Additionally, an external standard method is employed to detect mitochondrial DNA in samples.
The detection limit for DNA in this kit is 0.001 ng/μl, demonstrating its high sensitivity.
Importantly, this kit exhibits no nonspecific amplification when tested with specimens from cattle, pigs, sheep, horses, donkeys, ducks, geese, and rabbits, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
Reagents and supplies that need to be prepared by the user:
1.5ml centrifuge tubes, 8-strip or single PCR tubes
Pipettes and tips (to avoid cross-contamination between samples, please use filtered pipette tips)
Disposable gloves, protective equipment, and paper towels
Bench-top microcentrifuge (compatible with rotors for 1.5ml and 2ml centrifuge tubes)
Vortex mixer
This kit is suitable for use with ABI7000, StepOne, StepOnePlus, or other similar fluorescence quantitative detectors.
